Experience when it matters most.

When it comes to modern-day funerals and memorial services you have many options. In fact, you can design exactly the ceremony you or your loved one wants.

The trouble is, the process of creating such an important celebration of someone’s life can be overwhelming–especially if you are planning the ceremony while you are grieving.

To help, many people now turn to a funeral celebrant.

Funerals and celebrations of life planned and led with your loved one’s legacy in mind.

Personalized Events Tailored to Your Family

I will work closely with your family to plan every aspect of the celebration for your loved one. This includes a one to two hour meeting in person or virtually. Together, we’ll plan for the type of ritual you’d like to have, select readings from Scripture or other sources, and consider music and other details. Following that meeting, I will plan a service and eulogy tailored to your family and your loved one’s legacy.

Funerals and Memorial Services

A more traditional funeral or memorial service can take place at a funeral home or church of your choice. I will work directly with the funeral director or church staff to coordinate the logistics. Whether you choose to have the body present in a casket or a service following cremation, the gathering will celebrate your loved one’s life and legacy and allow others to join you in an important time of reflection and remembrance.

Wakes and Burial Site Services

In addition to a traditional funeral or memorial service, some families choose to have a wake service the night before, often at a funeral home following a time of visitation. This can allow for a time of prayer and/or the offering of stories and remembrances of your loved one’s life.

You might also choose to have a short service at the time of burial or inurnment of ashes. This can happen at any cemetery, including Fort Snelling National Cemetery.

Unique Celebrations of Life

For some, a more out-of-the-box event is called for. This could be at a favorite restaurant or bar, a park or near a lake, in a home or event space. Regardless of location and type of program, we’ll celebrate your loved one’s life in way that will be remembered for years to come.

“A blessing”

Eric’s empathy and compassion for the deceased and the family and friends was so very obvious. He was serious when needed and added gentle humor when appropriate.

Eric was a blessing to my friend in his grief and I know he would be for other families.

“Caring, thoughtful, personal”

Eric was a caring and thoughtful officiant over several funeral services that I participated in this year. I was really impressed with the personal way he was able to handle these sad but reflective services and I felt better after the ceremony as a result of the way he officiated. I found comfort in his approach, words, and actions.

“Tears to our eyes, peace to our hearts”

For those who didn’t know John well, they probably felt you must have spent hours with him, nursing a beer and getting to know him. You obviously were listening when we met with you prior to the service, as so many of the stories and memories shared with you made it to your message. Thank you so very much for making a difficult day very memorable. It brought tears to our eyes and peace to our hearts.
